The Bold Elephant

Inge van Rijswijk

HIGHLIGHTS

Hi! I am Inge, a Dutch filmmaker, photographer and anthropologist.

People fascinate me.

With a BA in Cultural Anthropology and an MA in Visual Anthropology, I have a natural interest in the social and cultural human being, alongside the skills to produce a visual portrayal – from finding story subjects to the practical, technical, and post-production activities involved.

During and after my studies I have produced several shorts in different corners of the world, both far away and at home. I am based in Tilburg, The Netherlands, but not bound by boundaries.

I have always been very interested in hardship and how people arise empowered by it. Therefor, I aspire to be a humanitarian and/or conflict video- and photographer. Intimate, raw and pure settings are what I thrive in.

I am strongly empathetic, sensible and open minded, and do not shy away from challenges. Besides being pragmatic, I speak multiple languages and get along with people from all walks of life.

I am currently employed full time by the Dutch immigration services, where I can further develop my international knowledge. I am still a filmmaker on the side though, and always interested in projects and collaborations. Please do not hesitate to contact me,

I'd love to connect.
